CT200h是雷克萨斯品牌目前的入门车型，也是唯一的两厢车，它和同期推出的第三代普锐斯在技术上有很多渊源，不过前者不但拥有雷克萨斯的品牌，同时还具备长达6年15万公里的免费保修保养政策，免除了很多用户对于进口车以及油电混合动力车型维修保养的后顾之忧，可谓是颇具吸引力。

雷克萨斯CT200h采用了一套混合动力推进系统，由一台1.8排量、73千瓦的阿特金森循环发动机（实质上此发动机结构设计重在不对称的膨胀/压缩比，而没有复杂的曲轴结构，更接近米勒循环）和60千瓦的推动电机，加上无级变速器，以及镍氢电池组成，辅以制动能量回收、废弃热量回收等系统，百公里综合油耗仅仅为4.6升，对于这么一款整备质量达到1440公斤的紧凑级车来说是非常经济的。

CT200h的入门车款精英型在安全配置方面还是比较完善的，甚至与顶配车型也没有区别——和同级豪华品牌车型也一样拥有诸如VSC车辆稳定控制系统（相当于ESP）、安全防护头枕、紧急制动刹车灯闪烁，除开前排正面/侧面和侧气帘之外，同时还拥有不多见的前排两个膝部气囊，安全防护上还是相当到位的。
